Pokémon Shiny Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina GameStop Distribution Events Kick Off Starting in August
The Pokémon Company has announced a new set Pokémon distribution events for Pokémon Black & White(and their sequels), and as the image suggests, these events will involve Shiny versions of Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina, the three title legendaries from Pokémon Diamond, Pearl & Platinum. Each of these limited-edition legendary Pokémon will be distributed during three dedicated individual events starting in August, with the third ending in October, shortly after the release date of Pokémon X & Y.

Pokémon X & Y Screenshots Show Off Characters, Evolution Process
Pokémon X & Y are less than three months away, and Nintendo’s steadily trickling out new screenshots and updates as the weeks go by. There’s no new info today – just a batch of new screenshots, one of which shows off the Pack UI, while others display the evolution process as it’s been reborn on 3DS as well as some environments, battles, and character interactions.
It’s truly the Pokémon sequel we’ve all been waiting for. Click below to check out the gallery.
Report: New Pokémon Revealed for X & Y, Named Aurotto
According to a report at PokéBeach, a new Pokémon was revealed during a trailer shown during the nextPokémon movie: Extremespeed Genesect: Mewtwo’s Awakening. Its Japanese name is Aurotto and it’s a type of possessed tree, making me wonder whether it’s a Ghost/Grass type Pokémon, something we haven’t seen before.
While we don’t have a clear image of the reveal, some fanart has surfaced of Aurotto online (seen above). Hopefully we’ll find out more soon.

The new trailer shows off a blend of characters, cutscenes, and legendary battles. It looks like the team’s going the extra mile to make the cutscenes nice and animated, which is a significant step from previous titles which just used mostly-neutral sprites. New Trailer and New Monster Revealed for Pokémon X & Y
A new gameplay trailer and new Pokémon have been revealed for Pokémon X & Y. The new monster is a Ghost-and-Steel-type Pokémon that looks like a sword. Its English name isn’t known yet, but in Japan it’s called Hitotsuki and in France it’s called Monorpale. It was revealed in the previously-teased message from series director Junichi Masuda.
The new trailer shows off about three minutes of footage, including our first glimpse at online battles. Click below to see.
Pokémon X & Y Feature Something Called ‘Super Training’
For me, one of the most annoying parts of the process when it comes to raising Pokémon to be the very best they can be is EV training. You don’t just have to give your Pokémon lots of special attention when you train them… you have to keep track of specific stats counters and pit them against the right monsters to obtain your desired EVs, and if you don’t want to go crazy, you have to gather up special EV training items, which is a chore in and of itself. Yet EV training makes such a colossal difference in terms of stats that it’s almost impossible to play competitively unless you go through the process.
Judging by a description for Pokémon X & Y‘s official strategy guide, a new feature called “Super Training” will probably help with would-be EV trainers. Hopefully it streamlines the process of EV training, making at least the mind-numbing aspects a bit more accessible to players who might not have absurd amounts of time on their hands.

Pokémon X & Y Ditch a Major Series Convention
Pokémon X & Y are looking to be quite the trendsetters. They’re the first main handheld games in the series to use fully 3D graphics. They’ve added a new Pokémon type: the Fairy-type. They even feature new battle types: Sky and Horde Battles.
Alongside all the stuff Pokémon X & Y has introduced, however, the games are also ditching a major series convention. And, no, I’m not just talking about how the version names aren’t colors.
Sakurai: Mewtwo’s New Form May be Playable in Smash Bros.
Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai has been very tight-lipped throughout the entire development process of the new titles for Wii U and 3DS. The games were officially unveiled during Nintendo’s E3 direct, and a total of three new characters (Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, and Mega Man) have been confirmed for the game. According to a report from the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y Developer Roundtable at E3, Sakurai had a rare moment of openness in which he hinted at a new look for an old character.
Pokémon Roundtable Video Released
Haven’t been to E3 this year? Not a problem. Last night, a special roundtable showcase of Pokémon X and Pokémon Y was hosted by the head of the Pokémon Company and the head of Game Freak. They showcased new Pokémon and new battle styles. They even touched on how to battle and trade with others from a longer distance using the PSS (Player Search System). Now, as promised a video of the discussion has been posted for your viewing pleasure in case we missed any key information or if you just want to see it for yourself. Hit the jump for the video.
New Pokémon X and Y Info: Sky & Horde Battles
E3 is underway, and today’s Nintendo Direct brought a new trailer for the latest installments in the Pokémonseries. We learned of a few new Pokémon, already. Plus, a new type is being added. Fairy-type Pokémon will be new to the sixth generation, and previous generations’ Pokémon (like Gardevoir, Jigglypuff and even Marill) will be affected. Sylveon was also confirmed as a Fairy-type. Tonight, the Nintendo Developer Roundtable for Pokémon has brought a lot of new information regarding Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. Tsunekazu Ishihara and Junichi Masuda both took a turn explaining some features of the upcoming games. Find all of the new information after the jump.
